Dr. James Nieland

CHIROPRACTOR PHYSICIAN

Dr. James Nieland 'Doc' is from Breda, IA. He is a graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport where he earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic. Dr. Nieland is a chiropractor in North Wilkesboro who serves North Wilkesboro and the surrounding communities in NC .

Dr. Nieland experience to Chiropractic has been around him as a kid when his dad, who was a farmer would go to his local Chiropractor during off-season for care. It wasn't until when Dr. Nieland left home and went to college that he learned the importance of Chiropractic Care. After spending his freshman year in college being sick, to the point of almost losing his scholarship due to missing too many classes, he went home during summer break and went to his hometown Chiropractor for treatment.  

After almost instantly getting better, his Chiropractor challenged him to take a science class when he went back to college to see if he had an interest in changing his field from Engineering to Chiropractic. He kept that promise the next year and he found his passion for helping people that he changed his college major and became a Chiropractor.

Hannah Gayner LMBT

MASSAGE THERAPIST 

Hannah is a massage and bodywork therapist with Family Chiropractic. As a massage therapist Hannah aims to help her clients feel as comfortable as possible while providing a peaceful atmosphere helping their muscles and bodies relax, recover, heal and fully benefit during their massage session.

Hannah has more than 11 years of professional hands on experience in massage and bodywork therapy after graduating from the Atlanta School of Massage. She is trained in many modalities some of which are Swedish, deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy, cupping, reflexology, pregnancy, infant/child...

Hannah also enjoys being outside: hiking, biking, being on the farm with all the animals, bon fires, growing food, helping my community family, missions to other nations (especially Kenya/Africa) as well as our own, and adventures of all kinds!!

Cayden Macemore LMBT

MASSAGE THERAPIST 

Cayden is a massage therapist at Family Chiropractic providing deep tissue, pain management, prenatal and Swedish massage. When Cayden is not providing relaxation and care to others you can find her on outdoor hikes and adventures with her soon-to-be husband, Kyle.

Elizabeth Nieland

DIRECTOR OF QUALITY IMPROVEMENT

Elizabeth has been with the Family Chiropractic Team since 2004. She has been involved in the Chiropractic profession for a long time-- growing up in Davenport, IA right down the street from Palmer College of Chiropractic and having family in the Chiropractic profession.

Over the years, Elizabeth has worked behind the scenes in assisting the clinic in establishing a strong connection with the Wilkes County community. When she isn't at the clinic, she gives her time to her family, sings on the Worship Team at her church or volunteers with many organizations throughout Wilkes Co.

Andrew Nieland

PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR

Andrew joined Family Chiropractic in 2023. He has been familiar with Chiropractic as a patient since birth and really focused on Chiropractic Care while playing sports in middle and high school.

He is one of the valued team members that assist our team with administration, therapies, and scheduling. Born and raised in Wilkes County, when he is not at work, you can find him playing tennis, working out, spending time with his dog, Maddie, or playing video games.

Jordan Alvarado

PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR

Jordan joined Family Chiropractic in 2021. Jordan was a newcomer to the chiropractic field but she’s no stranger to the health care world. This rising star joined our team eager and ready to serve our growing chiropractic family.

When she’s not shining bright at Family Chiropractic, you can find her at home with her nose in a book or simply enjoying time with her husband, Anthony and their two beautiful daughters.

Kenya

PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR

Kenya joined Family Chiropractic in 2023. This is my first time ever being in the Chiropractic field, and she was excited and eager to join our team. Kenya is one of the first smiling faces you see when you

walk through the door. She assists with therapies, scheduling, and checking you in and out. 

Born and raised in Wilkes County, when she isn’t working, she is either volunteering at her church, watching her children play sports, or at home catching up on some of her favorite tv shows.

Emily

PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR

Emily joined Family Chiropractic in 2023. Understanding the benefits of Chiropractic as a cheerleader in high school, she received Chiropractic Care and wanted to continue sharing the benefits of Chiropractic by joining our team. She has been a great addition to our team, assisting our new patients through their

journey in Chiropractic Care.

When she isn’t at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and her dog Dixie, or reading a good book.

Mayra

PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR

Mayra joined Family Chiropractic in 2023. Being a current patient at Family Chiropractic, she wanted to do more in the Chiropractic field as a high school intern. She is a valued member of the team, assisting in marketing, therapies and scheduling. 

Raised in Wilkes County, when she is not at work, you can see her on the soccer field for her high school, or spending time with her family.
